How is the MEDA Recovery Community delivered?
Everything is in the MEDA Recovery Community site. You simply log in and can access all the meditations, workshops, courses, cool tools and more that go with the level of membership you’ve chosen. You can access the community from your smartphone, tablet or computer. Plus you can join the interactive Community Connection Forums to connect with others on their journey and feel supported on your path to recovery.
How does the Community Connections work?
Community Connections is our online forum where recovery oriented people can connect with each other. There are multiple subforums on many topics from General Recovery to Getting Unstuck and Almost Recovered to Teens, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ , Chronic Illness, Neurodiversity and more! The forums have a built in word filter to ensure triggering words are filtered out and converted to *****. The forums are also moderated by volunteer moderators who are all in recovery and knowledgeable about what safe, recovery oriented content is. It is a great place to break the isolation of the eating disorder and connect with others who really get it. Community Connections is getting an upgrade, allowing you to build a profile, monitor your activity feed and a live chat feature is coming soon!
How much time is this going to take?
That is entirely up to you! You can work on courses, practice mediations, use the cool tools, read emails and connect with folks in the Community Connections Forums as often as you like, whenever you’d like. If you feel like you’d like frequent connection and a lot of support, you can log in multiple times each day or night and stay as long as you need or like. If you’re are really busy one week, that’s okay, too! The Community is here when you need it.
What if I can’t get through all the new content that comes out for the month?
No worries! The content isn’t going anywhere. It just builds each month. You can work through it at your own pace, in your own time.
